YuJa operates offices and remote locations across Canada and the United States, and therefore we wish to acknowledge the ancestral territory of all the Inuit, Métis, and First Nations people across both Canada and the United States. We recognize their long standing presence in these territories.
Toronto, ON
YuJa acknowledges that we are based in Tkaronto, which is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples, as well as currently home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We also acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands.
San Jose, CA
YuJa recognizes that it is located on the territory of the ancestral and traditional land of the Puichon Thámien Ohlone-speaking People, and the successors of the historic sovereign Verona Band of Alameda County, presently identified as the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe of the San Francisco Bay Area. This land was and continues to be of great importance to the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe and other familial descendants of the Verona Band.
